Cédric Delvaux
Cédric Delvaux is a versatile Belgian saxophonist who is active as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician.
He searches for innovation and explores the boundaries of his instrument by playing in ensembles with unusual formations offering a wide spectrum of new timbres and by collaborating with composers and other art forms such as theater, visual arts, etc.
Besides playing original saxophone repertoire, Cédric is an avid interpreter of transcriptions of well-known chamber music works.
Cédric Delvaux performs in Belgium and abroad (the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Norway and China).
He regularly attends masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians.
Besides being a performing musician, Cédric is also a passionate educator who is keen on sharing his knowledge and experience tailored to each group or individual.
“Cédric is an active musician. Among his many qualities, I would highlight his elegance in playing, wonderful sound and artistic sensitivity combined with a very high technical knowledge of the instrument. His refined sense about colors in music makes his interpretations rich and alive. He shines specially when playing chamber music where he develops all these colors and interesting ideas. It becomes a true pleasure to listen to him.”
